3. Track credits and completed actions
Credits are added to your promotion wallet after payment is confirmed. Each completed promotion action uses one credit. Your dashboard shows your balance, purchases and completed actions so you can see how your credits are used.
Promotion credits and Star counts
Credits can be used for Stars, Watches and Forks. The mix of delivered actions depends on your repository settings. A 100-credit package covers 100 completed promotion actions, not an unconditional guarantee of 100 new Stars, downloads or product users.
Delivery pace and unused credits
Promotion proceeds as eligible accounts and actions become available. There is no fixed completion time or promise of instant delivery. Credits do not expire, stack across purchases and remain visible in your wallet until used.
90-day Star protection
The protection window starts when the associated promotion purchase is paid. During those 90 days, if the system verifies that an eligible promoted Star was removed, a credit is returned for promotion again. This is a credit return, not a cash refund or a promise that Stars will remain forever.

What am I buying when I purchase a plan?
You are buying promotion credits for the same packages available in your dashboard. Each completed Star, Watch or Fork uses one credit, according to your target repository's action settings.
How much do GitHub promotion plans cost?
Starter: $5 for 20 credits; Growth: $19 for 100 credits; Scale: $49 for 300 credits. These are USD package prices. Payment methods, the final charge and settlement currency are shown before you confirm payment.
Does buying 100 credits guarantee 100 GitHub stars?
No. Credits also cover Watches and Forks. If several action types are enabled, credits can be used for different types of completed actions. Review your target repository and action settings before purchasing.
Do I need to complete free star exchanges first?
Paid promotion can continue using your credits even when your Stars given count is temporarily below the exchange requirement. The free developer exchange remains available as a separate way to participate.
How long does delivery take after payment?
Credits are added after payment is confirmed. Promotion runs as eligible accounts and actions become available, and completed actions appear in your dashboard. There is no guaranteed instant delivery or fixed deadline for a particular number of Stars.
Do unused promotion credits expire?
No. Promotion credits do not expire and can be combined with later purchases. Your promotion wallet shows the remaining balance and purchase history.
What happens if a delivered Star is removed?
Within 90 days of the associated purchase being paid, eligible promoted Stars that the system verifies as removed result in a credit return for further promotion. This does not mean a cash refund or permanent Star retention.
How do I get help with a payment or refund?
Check your purchase status and credit balance in the dashboard. For failed payments, missing credits or refund questions, contact Support with your order details so the specific case can be reviewed. A promotion credit return is different from a cash refund.
