Owner-set prices or one credit per action
SupaGit presents a GEM marketplace where repository owners set action prices. GithubStarMate promotion uses one credit for each completed Star, Watch, or Fork. Do not compare raw GEM and credit balances as if they were interchangeable units. First identify what an action costs in the workflow you choose and how that cost affects the budget for your project.
Check current availability for each action
SupaGit's marketplace lists Stars and Forks as available, while Watch is marked Coming Soon despite broader wording in its hero section. GithubStarMate supports Stars, Watches, and Forks. If following repository activity is part of your objective, check actual action availability before selecting a service instead of relying only on a page's introductory wording.
Separate action limits from repository capacity
SupaGit publishes tiered action and listing limits. GithubStarMate includes one active repository seat, with paid extras for additional active repositories. These are different constraints, so map each to your intended routine. A maintainer running several projects should consider concurrent repository capacity as well as the promotion balance allocated to completed actions across those projects.
Choose a starting point before buying extras
GithubStarMate offers free reciprocal exchange, one-time non-expiring promotion credits, and a separate Membership for automatic reciprocity and priority. Start by deciding whether you want to participate manually, fund promotion, or use Membership features. Paid promotion has no fixed completion deadline, and enabling several action types means credits cover the selected mix rather than a fixed Star quantity.
